Robertson County – Car Accident on US 79 Leaves 2 Dead

At least two people were declared deceased following a deadly car accident on US Highway 79 in Robertson County, Sunday afternoon.

At around 3:40 p.m., a pickup truck hauling a trailer was traveling along US 79 near Texas 6 when, for yet unknown reasons, it crashed into another car. How the crash took place remains unclear at this time but police confirmed that two occupants in the truck sustained undisclosed injuries. They were taken to a local hospital where they were listed in unknown condition.

Meanwhile, the driver of the second car was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. No identifications were released pending notification of their next of kin.

Police arrived at the scene to determine the factors that contributed to the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
