Reeves County – Driver Killed Interstate 10 Collision Identified

The man who died in a fatal car accident on Interstate 10 has been named by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

He was identified as 44-year-old Wajma Popal.

Last Thursday, police received a call reporting a car accident on Interstate 10 in Reeves County. A semi-truck was traveling along the highway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crossed over a center median and drifted into the path of a Nissan Altima. As a result of the crash, the semi-truck rolled over and crashed into another semi-truck.

The driver of the Altima, Wajma Popal, suffered from significant injuries and was pronounced at the scene. Police did not confirm whether the driver of the semi-truck was hurt or not.

An investigation is underway.
