Rear-end crash in Jersey Village leaves 1 dead

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed following a collision involving a semi-truck in the Jersey Village area early Thursday morning.
According to a report by NTV Houston, the incident occurred at about 12:15 a.m. within the westbound lanes of Highway 290.
Initial reports suggest the 30-year-old female driver of a Lexus was speeding when her vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck.
The woman was ejected in the crash and suffered serious injuries as a result. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
The driver in the semi was unhurt.
