Pursuit of a suspect ends in deadly wreck in northwest Houston

HOUSTON, TX – The pursuit of a suspect ended in a deadly wreck in northwest Houston on the morning of Tuesday, September 15, KHOU 11 reports.

Officers ran the license plate on the suspect’s vehicle and determined that the car was stolen. They initiated a traffic stop, but the driver of the car refused to pull over, instead speeding northbound on Hollister from Highway 290.

The suspect eventually crashed into a culvert behind a restaurant and was killed upon impact. Two passengers were taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
