Progreso – Victims Killed in Military Highway Crash Identified

The Progreso Police Department has identified the victims who passed away after a vehicle accident on Military Highway, last Tuesday.

The fatalities were identified as 25-year-old Mark Anthony Hernandez and 21-year-old passenger, David Mendoza. According to initial reports, Hernandez was driving a blue van along Military Hwy when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it struck the trailer portion of a semi truck. The force of the impact killed both Hernandez and his passenger who was identified as Davin Mendoza.

It was not confirmed if the driver of the semi-truck suffered from any injury. He was also not identified yet.

No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
