Progreso – Two Died Following a Car Crash on Military Hwy

At least two people were pronounced deceased after a fatal auto crash on Military Highway last Tuesday.
According to the initial report, a blue van had been traveling along the highway when, for yet unknown reasons, it collided with the trailer of a semi-truck. The impact of the collision killed the driver and another occupant in the van. They were only identified as a 21-year-old passenger and a 25-year-old driver.
No other injuries were reported.
The Texas Department of Public Safety arrived at the scene to assist in the clearing of the site. No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress. Anyone who has information about the case is encouraged to get in contact with the Progreso Police Department.
