Poth – Teen Killed in Tractor-Trailer Crash Identified

The Texas Department of Public Safety has released the name of the teen who died in a vehicle collision on US Highway 181 last month.
Last January 29th, Poth local officials responded to US 181 at approximately 6:30 p.m. According to initial reports, a tractor-trailer was traveling along the highway when it crashed into a vehicle that had just left a private driveway. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the car’s driver suffering from serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities later identified the driver as 16-year-old Jorgen Romero.
No one else was injured.
The Poth Police Department was requested at the scene to determine liability.
An investigation is underway.
