Possible fatality in Katy Fwy truck accident

HOUSTON, TX – A crash this morning involving a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle closed westbound lanes of traffic and possibly resulted in a fatality, according to KTRK.
The accident occurred around 9 a.m. on the Katy Freeway, near the exit for Dairy Ashford, while a stalled Mercedes was stopped in the middle lane of the roadway. A commercial truck struck the Mercedes from behind, which may have killed one person. Details are unclear at this time.
The accident resulted in the closure of all westbound lanes of the freeway.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
