Polk County- Victim identified following a two-car crash on Highway 190

The investigators from the Department of Public Safety has released the name of the victim who died from a fatal car accident on Highway 190 last January 9, reports say.
The victim was identified as Shirley Taylor. She succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
According to an initial investigation, the wreck took place at around 2:00 p.m. near the intersection of intersection of Walding Road and Highway 190. A southbound Chevrolet was traveling along Walding Road when it crashed into a 2014 Ford passenger vehicle.
The impact of the collision left two drivers with significant injuries. The Ford driver, identified as 31-year-old Stacy White from Goodrich, was sent to CHI St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital for treatment. The Chevrolet driver, who was later identified as Shirley Taylor, was transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center. She was pronounced dead a few days after her arrival.
