HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police have released the identity of the 85-year-old man killed in a hit-and-run collision on South Gessner Road last Wednesday, Click 2 Houston reported yesterday.

Sik Kwan was attempting to cross South Gessner at its 12200 block when he was struck by an unidentified driver, who fled the scene without alerting authorities.

Kwan’s daughter Yuen flew from Boston to handle her father’s affairs. She said that the retired physicist had walked the same route daily for two decades.

“He’s crossed that street thousands of thousands of times,” Yuen told reporters.

Police are requesting that anyone with any information about the incident to contact them immediately.
