Police officers hurt in pursuit after crashing near I-610

HOUSTON, TX – Two officers were injured when they crashed their vehicle near I-610 during a police chase Tuesday morning, according to Click2Houston.
The officers located a group of people attempting to steal an ATM from a Fiesa Mart near I-610 and Myakawa at around 3 a.m. that morning. The suspects would not pull over, and a chase ensued. The suspects led police up I-610 through SH 228 and SH 59. The individuals eventually exited at Collingsworth then apparently fled on foot. Two were apprehended and arrested
During the chase, an officer lost control of his police cruiser, slamming into a center divider. Two officers were taken to the hospital with neck and back pain.
