Police officer injured in SW Houston crash

HOUSTON, TX – A Houston Police Officer was sent to the hospital following a major crash southwest of downtown yesterday.
According to KTRK, the crash happened as the officer was heading east on Beachnut Street and was hit by a westbound pickup truck attempting to turn onto Boone Road.
The officer was transported to a nearby hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. The driver of the pickup was uninjured.
