Pleasant Grove – Hit-and-run Crash on Samuell Boulevard

Authorities are still looking for the driver who fled the scene following a car accident on Samuell Boulevard, early Tuesday morning.

At around 4:10 a.m., Pleasant Grove local officials responded to a collision at the 5800 block of Samuell Boulevard. According to initial reports, a man who was standing in the grassy area near the road got struck by a dark-colored compact car that was heading east. A preliminary investigation shows that the vehicle made an unsafe turn, went off the roadway, and hit the victim.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, suffered from life-threatening injuries from the impact. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died.

The driver of the vehicle briefly stopped at the scene but eventually sped off. His name has not been released.
