Plano – Pedestrian Accident on Coit Rd Leaves Child Hurt

Last February 3rd, an auto vs pedestrian was reported in the area of Coit Road near West Park Boulevard.
In an unspecified time in the evening, police responded to 1705 block of Coit Rd near W Park Boulevard following reports of a child getting struck by a car. How the crash actually happened remains unclear at this time but it was confirmed that the child was running near Fairway Apartments when the accident happened. The impact of the collision left the child with unknown injuries. He was taken to a local hospital where he received further medical attention. Police said the victim was wearing a camouflage-patterned shirt and a pair of jeans. He has yet to be identified by responding officers.
Plano police did not release information about the driver involved. The investigation is still in progress.
