Plano – Man Died in Tragic Collision on Williams Way

A driver was killed in a fatal single-vehicle accident on Williams Way in Plano, December 31st.
According to the incident report, an unfortunate accident was reported at the 2300 block of Williams Way. A vehicle reportedly pulled over to the side of the road. When the driver stepped out of his truck, the vehicle then moved backward, hitting him in the process. He sustained significant injuries and died at the scene, as per emergency crews.
The victim was later identified as Ed Rhodes. It was not determined if Rhodes was the sole occupant of the truck.
No other information is available as the investigation is still in progress.
