Plainview – Mary Dorantes Injured in a Vehicle Crash on US 70

Plainview local officials have identified the victim who suffered from critical injuries after a car accident on US 70 near Plainview, last Monday.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2004 Dodge Ram hauling a black semi-trailer loaded with a Bobcat Tractor was heading east on Highway 70 when its tractor became detached, hitting a 1999 Acura that was along the westbound lane. The impact of the collision seriously injured the three occupants in the Acura. The driver and his front seat passenger were rushed to University Medical Center where they later died. They were identified as 53-year-old Rosalva Dorantes and 60-year-old Eduardo Dorantes of Olton.
Meanwhile, a backseat passenger of the Acura, identified as 18-year-old Mary Dorantes, sustained incapacitating injuries from the crash. She was listed in critical condition, as per local officials.
It was not confirmed if the Dodge driver was hurt. His identification has not been released at this time.
