Pickup truck driver crashes into building after being chased by other driver

HOUSTON, TX – A pickup truck driver crashed into a building after being chased by the driver of a BMW on Monday, according to ABC 13.

The chase began because the pickup truck hit the BMW near Airline and the North Loop. Both vehicles then sped onto Airline before the pickup truck t-boned another vehicle near Crosstimbers. The pickup then hit a nearby building, causing it to burst into flames.

The pickup driver reportedly fled the scene on foot and the BMW drove away from the scene. A woman in the hit vehicle was pulled out of her car and taken to the hospital. Her condition is not known at this time.

The pickup driver was arrested after authorities found him attempting to hide in a homeless person’s tent near a local Walmart. It is not yet known what charges will be filed.
