Pedestrian walking on I-45 hospitalized after being struck by vehicle

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle on I-45 early this morning, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The accident occurred at about 12:40 a.m. in southeast Houston, near the I-610 interchange, when a pedestrian who was reportedly walking on I-45 was struck by a driver.
The victim was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The driver, who remained at the scene after the collision, is not thought at this time to have been under the influence.
The identities of the victim and driver are not available at this time.
