Pedestrian killed in late-night hit-and-run accident on Highway 6

HOUSTON, TX – A man was killed after he was struck by a driver who then fled the scene of the accident on Highway 6 last night, according to the Laredo Morning Times.
The accident happened in the 1300 block of Highway 6 at about 11 p.m., when the operator of what is believed to be a silver Toyota Highlander SUV collided with a pedestrian.
The driver, believed to be a man, then fled the scene.
The victim was discovered dead at the site of the accident. His identity has not yet been released.
Authorities are looking through surveillance footage for clues to the driver’s identity.
The accident remains under investigation.
