Pedestrian killed in car crash on Scott Street

HOUSTON, TX – James Anderson, 68, was arrested for intoxicated driving on Sunday after he hit and killed a pedestrian at 5900 Scott Street.
The Houston Police Department reports that Anderson was driving a gold Volvo S-60 when he hit a 59-year-old woman at approximately 10:00 p.m. on May 3. Officers at the scene determined that Anderson was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
The pedestrian sustained severe injuries, and the paramedics rushed her to the Ben Taub General Hospital. The paramedics reported that the woman was in critical condition, and she died in the hospital on Monday, May 4.
The police have filed intoxicated driving charges against Anderson. However, he may face more severe charges as a result of the pedestrian’s death.
