Pedestrian killed during multi-vehicle collision on Northwest Fwy and Bingle

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was fatally struck during a multi-vehicle collision on the Northwest Freeway last night, according to KTRK.
The accident happened on the Northwest Freeway (US-290) and Bingle Road at about 8:30 p.m. and appears to have involved at least five vehicles.
A pedestrian was struck during the crash, then taken to the hospital for treatment. There, they succumbed to their wounds.
The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
Authorities closed all eastbound lanes of the highway for multiple hours following the accident.
