Pedestrian killed by vehicle on S Sam Houston Pkwy E in SE Houston

HOUSTON, TX — One person was killed early Saturday in a pedestrian accident on South Sam Houston Parkway East in Houston’s Southbelt/Ellington area, reports Houston Chronicle.

The collision took place in the 8500 block of the parkway near El Franco Lee Park at around 2:00 a.m.

Few details have been reported on the circumstances behind the incident, but authorities said the pedestrian may have been trying to cross the parkway’s feeder road at the time.

The victim died from their injuries at the scene.

No further information has been released regarding the driver.
