Pedestrian killed after running onto the West Sam Houston Parkway South

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was killed after running onto the West Sam Houston Parkway South last night, according to the Houston Police Department.

Authorities say a woman ran onto the streets from some bushes alongside the road and was hit by the driver of an oncoming black Jaguar XF. She died at the scene of the crash, which was reported around 11:20 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
