Pedestrian hospitalized after being struck by train in downtown Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A man was seriously injured Sunday night after being hit by a METRORail train in downtown Houston, according to ABC13.
The incident occurred on the Red Line near the intersection of Main Street and McGowen Street at around 8:00 p.m.
METRO officials said the train operator tried to stop the train upon seeing the pedestrian on the tracks.
The injured man was said to be conscious as he was transported to a nearby hospital. His condition remains undisclosed.
