Pedestrian hit, seriously hurt by driver on Katy Fwy in west Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A woman was hospitalized Monday night after being struck by a passing vehicle while on on the Katy Freeway in west Houston, according to NTV Houston.

Responding officers arrived to find the female pedestrian lying down in the freeway’s feeder lanes shortly after the incident.

Authorities said the victim suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital by Houston Fire crews.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but an investigation was underway.

At this time, no further details have been released regarding the exact time and location of the event.
