Pedestrian hit, killed on North Fwy exit ramp in early-morning crash

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a driver on the exit ramp of the North Freeway early this morning, according to KHOU.
The crash occurred in the 12700 block of the North Freeway service road near Rankin Road at around 3 a.m., as a pedestrian walking over the exit ramp was struck by a driver.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver remained at the scene and was not thought to be under the influence. She has reportedly cooperated with the authorities.
The collision remains under investigation.
