Pedestrian hit, killed by driver on Bellaire Blvd in SW Houston

HOUSTON, TX — One person died Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Bellaire Boulevard in southwest Houston’s Sharpstown neighborhood, according to KHOU11.

The fatal incident took place in the 7800 block of the road near the Osage Street intersection at around 10:14 a.m.

No details have been released on the parties involved or the circumstances behind the event, but all eastbound lanes were closed in the area during an investigation. Multiple westbound lanes were also impacted, causing a traffic backup down to Fondren Road.

It is unclear at this time whether or not any charges are expected to be filed.
