Pedestrian fatally struck by train in northeast Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a train in northeast Houston early Tuesday morning.
According to a report by KHOU, the unidentified victim was hit shortly after 4 a.m. along the tracks near Cavalcade Street and Chalker Drive.
It is unclear what led up to the incident. However, one individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
Delays were reported in the area while investigators worked at the scene.
