Pedestrian fatally hit by driver on Spencer Hwy in Pasadena

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — A man died Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Spencer Highway near Pasadena’s Alta Vista Acres area, according to Click2Houston.
The fatal incident occurred at Federal Road, near a series of businesses south of Strawberry Park, at about 5:45 a.m.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but Pasadena Police Department said the victim was rushed to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, who did not suspect intoxication.
A section of the road was blocked off during the emergency response and investigation. Authorities urged the public to detour around the area.
