Pedestrian dies from injuries sustained in May crash on State Highway 249

TOMBALL, TX – A pedestrian died from injuries sustained in a May crash that took place on State Highway 249, per the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

A Hispanic male was crossing the street near 14300 State Highway 249 around 1:30 a.m. on May 15. He was hit by a brown Toyota Tundra driven by Rene Cortez. The driver remained at the scene of the crash.

The victim was rushed to the hospital immediately following the collision. The HCSO was notified of the victim’s death on June 17. He still remains unidentified.
