Pedestrian dies after hit-and-run crash on Ridgecrest Dr in NW Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A man died Wednesday evening after being struck by a vehicle in northwest Houston’s Spring Branch East area, reports Click2Houston.

Houston Police responded to the scene at 1818 Ridgecrest Drive, near Long Point Road, shortly before 10:32 p.m.

The circumstances behind the incident were unknown, but authorities said the driver fled the scene.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

No further information has been released at this time.
