Pedestrian dies after being hit while walking over the McKay Bridge

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian died after being hit while crossing a bridge in northeast Houston on Sunday night, the Houston Police Department reports.

The unidentified woman was walking on the McKay Bridge when she was hit by a passing red Infiniti G35. She was killed upon impact. Officers that arrived at the scene found drug paraphernalia and suspected narcotics in the victim’s possession.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was determined not to be intoxicated. An investigation into the incident remains open.
