Pedestrian dead after being hit by driver on North Fwy service rd

HOUSTON, TX – One person died early this morning after being hit by a car on the North Freeway service road, according to information from ABC 13 News.
The collision occurred on the North Freeway service road near Greens Road just after midnight, as a man was walking across the roadway. He was then struck by a vehicle after the driver was unable to avoid a crash.
The male victim was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead. He was not immediately identified, save for the fact that he may have been homeless.
Police do not suspect the driver, identified only as a woman, of intoxicated driving at this time. She is unlikely to face charges in connection with the crash.
