Pedestrian crossing FM 1960 killed by hit-and-run driver

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver as she was walking across FM 1960 last night, according to KHOU.
The collision happened on FM 1960 near State Highway 249 at around 8:30 p.m., as a female pedestrian was walking across the roadway. She was then struck by the driver of a white Cadillac Escalade who then fled the scene.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene.
Police believe she was not in a crosswalk when the crash happened.
Authorities are searching for the driver and their vehicle, which likely sustained heavy damage to its front end during the crash. Those with information on the crash are asked to contact the Vehicular Crimes Division at 713-247-4072.
