Pedestrian critically injured after being struck by vehicle in NW Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A man was severely injured after being struck by a driver in northwest Houston late Friday night, according to Capt. John Shannon of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Vehicular Crimes Unit and district 1 working an auto pedestrian accident on 249 at Seton Lake Dr. Adult male struck while trying to cross the roadway. The accident occurred in the Park Northwest area on Highway 249, near Seton Lake Drive, at about 11:45 p.m., when a man attempting to cross the street was struck by a driver.
The victim sustained severe, life-threatening wounds in the crash.
It is unclear at this point if the driver remained at the scene.
Authorities are asking those with any information on the accident to contact the vehicular crimes unit with the HCSO. Their investigation continues at this time.
