Pecos – Faben Woman Killed after Auto Crash on I-20

A woman was pronounced deceased when two vehicles collided on Interstate 20, Monday.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, an undescribed vehicle had been traveling along the eastbound lane of I-20, about 33 miles west of Pecos, when it drove to the right shoulder of the road, crossed the center median, and into the westbound lanes. It then collided with another vehicle that was heading west. Both occupants of the second vehicle did not sustain injury from the force of the impact. Meanwhile, the driver of the first vehicle suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was only identified as a 19-year-old woman.
Pecos local authorities are still determining what caused the teenage driver to lose control of the car. No further details are available as the investigation is still ongoing.
