HOUSTON, TX – A passenger became trapped in a car after a vehicle crashed into a ditch Wednesday night, according to KHOU 11.Â
A pickup truck was traveling on a US 290 feeder road near Little York when the car suddenly veered off the road and into a ditch. The truck also hit a concrete highway sign, authorities say. The driver fled the scene of the crash on foot, leaving a passenger inside the vehicle. The passenger had to be removed from the car by emergency personnel and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The driver who fled was eventually found in an emergency room.
