HOUSTON, TX — A woman died early Monday morning after a single-vehicle rollover collision in southeast Houston, according to NTV Houston.
Houston Fire Department said the fatal accident occurred on a stretch of Scott Street at approximately 3:15 a.m.
An early investigation indicates a man was driving a pickup truck in the wrong direction when the pickup overturned and struck multiple power poles along the road.
The victim, who was a passenger in the pickup, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities said the driver was no injured in the crash and was administered a field sobriety test. No updates on the results of that test have been shared at this time, but high speed is suspected to have contributed to the collision.
An investigation remains in progress.
