The accident took place at 12275 Homestead Road just after noon today. The HCSO originally reported that a vehicle fled the scene of the crash but then reported that the crash only involved one car.
Authorities say a Cadillac Escalade struck a guardrail on the bridge north of the railroad tracks, killing a passenger inside the car. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
