Passenger killed in crash on Homestead Road

HOUSTON, TX – A passenger was killed in a crash on Homestead Road this afternoon, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
.@HCSO_D2Patrol deputies responded to a major accident near 12275 Homestead Rd. A vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene. One person was confirmed deceased by EMS. The accident took place at 12275 Homestead Road just after noon today. The HCSO originally reported that a vehicle fled the scene of the crash but then reported that the crash only involved one car.
Authorities say a Cadillac Escalade struck a guardrail on the bridge north of the railroad tracks, killing a passenger inside the car. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
