Parker County – Victim Killed in Hwy 199 Collision ID’d

The Parker County Police Department has identified the victim who died in a car accident on Highway 199, according to a local news source.
The fatality was identified as 51-year-old Ernest Medley.
Police said Ernest Medley was walking with another person when he was struck by a passing vehicle traveling along Highway 199. The impact of the collision seriously killed Medley. He was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. His company was not hurt.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle involved did not stop to provide assistance to the victim. He was later located and charged with intoxication manslaughter. Authorities identified the driver as Kevin Evans.
The investigation is still in progress.
