Parker County – Motorcycle Collision on SH 171 Leaves 1 Dead

Local authorities are conducting an investigation about a two vehicle accident on State Highway 171 in Parker County, Wednesday morning.
At around 10:30 a.m., DPS troopers received a notification reporting a crash involving a truck and a motorcycle. According to the report, a black 2006 Yamaha motorcycle was heading south on SH 171 when, for yet unknown reasons, it drifted into the opposing lanes where it crashed into a black 2007 Etnyre tractor trailer that had been traveling north. Police said the motorcycle hit the left front end of the truck.
The impact of the crash killed the motorcyclist instantly. He was identified as 63 year-old, Jimmy Cain, of Weatherford. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck was not hurt. He was identified as 55 year-old, Samuel Morrison, of Tolar.
No arrests have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
