Parker County – Driver Killed in Head-on Collision on Jay Bird Lane

A major collision on Jay Bird Lane in Parker County killed a 22-year-old driver, early Saturday morning, reports said.
According to police, the said collision took place just before 3:00 a.m at the 1700 block of Jay Bird Lane. A Mustang was seen heading south when, for unknown reasons, it drifted into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a passing Ford pickup truck. The impact of the crash instantly killed the driver of the Mustang. Meanwhile, the Ford driver, identified only as a 56-year-old man, was airlifted by EMS to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth where he was treated. His condition was not determined.
No other injuries were reported.
The Reno Police Department was called to the scene to determine what caused the 22-year-old driver to drift into the opposing lanes.
The investigation is still in progress.
