Park Springs – Harold Norris Hospitalized, Donnie Cowley Died after Multi-Car Crash on TX 101

Park Springs police officials are investigating a major car accident which injured a 53-year-old Bowie resident and killed an Alvord man on Texas 101, according to a local news source.
The victims were identified as Donnie Cowley, 65, of Alvord and, Harold E. Norris, 53, of Bowie.
Cowley was operating a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck along the southbound lanes of Texas 101 when, for reasons that had not been determined, he drifted onto the opposing lanes where he collided head-on with a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Norris.
As a result, Cowley was severely injured. He was pronounced dead by emergency crews who responded to the scene. Norris, on the other hand, was rushed to Medical City Denton Hospital with undisclosed injuries. His condition was not immediately disclosed.
Local police arrived at the scene to investigate further.
