Parents of young boy hit and killed by car donate his organs

HOUSTON, TX – The parents of a young boy hit and killed by a passing vehicle donated his organs, ABC 13 reports.
10-year-old Victor Peterzen was riding his bicycle near the intersection of Moorberry Lane and Knoboak on September 1 when he was hit by a Jeep. The young boy was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brain dead by doctors. After a few days, his parents made the difficult decision to let him go.
Later they decided to donate his organs to five different recipients. They said it was what Victor would have wanted. The 43-year-old driver of the Jeep that hit Victor was released by authorities after she was determined not be intoxicated.
Because of Victor’s age, his case will be sent to a grand jury.
