Orange Grove – Woman Died Following FM 738 Collision

A deadly auto collision caused the death of a female teenager on Farm to Market Road 738 in Orange Grove, according to a local news soruce.
Last Friday, police responded to FM 738 after receiving a notification reporting a collision between a pedestrian and a car. Initial investigation shows that a teen was seen walking along the side of the road when a passing Chevrolet Silverado struck her. Police said the victim was accompanied by another person.
The pedestrian, who was later identified as 13-year-old Evangelina Gutierrez, sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased by local responders. The person accompanying her was not reportedly injured.
Whether the driver of the car remained at the scene or not remains unknown at this time.
Police have yet to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. However, it was determined that the area was foggy at the time of the crash.
