Orange County – Vernon Morris, Alvin Beck Killed in Interstate 10 Collision

The two victims who died in a fatal vehicle accident on Interstate 10 in Orange County have been identified by local officials.
The fatalities were named as 40-year-old Vernon Morris of Mississippi and 45-year-old Alvin Beck also of Mississippi.
According to initial investigation, the incident was reported at around 5:00 a.m. on Interstate 10 near Adams Bayou. Police said a GMC pickup truck was approaching slow-moving traffic when it crashed into several vehicles that had stopped due to a previous wreck. Two occupants in the vehicle that the pick up truck hit, identified as Vernon Morris and Alvin Beck, sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased by Orange County Precinct Four Justice of the Peace Rodney Price.
The drivers of the other vehicles were not seriously injured. However, they were taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
