Orange County – Man Killed Following an Auto Crash on Interstate 10

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 which killed one person, Monday night.
According to initial reports, the incident took place just after 9:00 p.m. near Adams Boyou in Orange County. A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2019 Hyundai was heading east along the westbound lanes when it collided with a concrete barrier. The impact was so great, the vehicle burst into flames.
The driver of the vehicle, identified only as a 40-year-old Beaumont man, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. He was pronounced dead by emergency crews who responded to the scene.
No one else was injured.
Orange County law enforcement officials have yet to identify the reason why the driver was driving at the opposite side of the road. The investigation continues.
