Orange County – Car Accident on Interstate 10 Injured 6

At least six people were hurt following a vehicle crash on Interstate 10 near mile marker 859, last Thursday, April 4.
Just before 12 noon, Texas Department of Public Safety officials were called onto the scene to assist in a collision on I-10. A 2018 Dodge pickup truck was traveling along the eastbound lanes when it went out of control and collided with a van transporting prisoners. The force of the impact pushed the Dodge into the concrete barrier where it got struck by a commercial motor vehicle.
Six prisoners were rushed to a hospital with various injuries. Their condition remains unknown at this time.
The driver of the prisoner transportation van was identified as 37-year-old Serina Watts. It is not confirmed if he was injured.
