One person injured when car lands upside-down in ditch in Harris County

HUFFMAN, TX (HARRIS COUNTY) – One person was injured after a vehicle rolled down a ditch in Harris County tonight and trapped them within the wreckage.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports that the collision occurred at 1203 Smith Road in Huffman, near Walraven Drive, before 7:50 p.m., when a silver vehicle went off the side of the road.
District 2 deputies responded to 1203 Smith Rd, Huffman for a 1 car major. Car left the roadway and landed in a ditch. The car went down into the ditch and rolled over, landing on its roof.
One person was pinned within the wreckage for a brief time, and was then taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical wounds.
Authorities do not believe that intoxicated driving played a role in the collision.
